How to Make an Appointment

We have 7doctors in total, three practice nurses, a health care assistant and a phlebotomist.

Each day 2 of the doctors are responsible for the doctor triage system., one to cover the morning and one to cover the afternoon.  We call this doctor our Duty Doctor. This role is rotated between all our doctors. This doctor is responsible for assessing emergencies and allocating appropriate appointments for same day access. The Duty Doctor has access to extra appointments, which are not available to receptionists, in order to accommodate emergencies.   Advance bookings are also available.

Nurse/Health Care and phlebotomy appointments can be booked on the day or in advance. The other 5 doctors run normal clinics with available appointments that can be booked on the day.

We strongly encourage patients to ring, where possible, on the day they wish to be seen, as this has shown to substantially reduce non attendance. However, if you do need an advance appointment, please speak to the receptionist, who in conjunction with the doctor, will be able to facilitate this.
